Netizens share sympathy with low-spirited Sarfaraz

KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain and Sindh wicket-keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed has once again taken the internet by the storm without uttering a single word but just by his gesture.

During the ongoing National T20 Cup match between Central Punjab and Sindh, Sarfaraz looked upset and stood behind the wickets with a grim face which many found unusual of him.

Known for his frankness and outspoken attitude on the field, even the commentators were in awe as they found Sarfaraz in an emotional and dejected state.

“Very Serious! That’s not the Sarfaraz that we know.” quipped the commentator. “I don’t like this Sarfaraz. Trust me, I like him speaking, chirping,”

The entire incident drew a significant response from cricket fans, many of whom attributed this sudden change in Sarfarz’s behaviour to his haplessness in finding a spot in the national team’s T20 World Cup squad.

Sarfaraz has been one of the most successful captains of the Pakistan cricket team and led the team to a memorable victory in the 2017 Champions Trophy.

The 35-year-old has so far amassed 209 runs averaging above 34 with a strike rate of 130 in the ongoing National T20 Cup.
